A month ago I joined my friends Urban Rescue for a weekend of music festivals; Spirit West Coast and FishFest. Although this wasn't my first time photographing music performances, this was definitely the biggest event I've done. Seeing my friends come this far has been amazing to see and I can't wait to see whats next.
My friend Lauren invited me to hang out at a show her band (Beer and Hymns OC) was playing and to take some pictures as well. The show was at the Lido Live in Newport Beach and featured sets from The Wilder Society, Pawnshop Kings, and The Eagle Rock Gospel Singers. At the end of the night, the crew came together to finish the night with a sweet set of 80's hits.
Father let Your Kingdom come
Spirit set a fire in us
For the glory of Your Name
I met Urban Rescue back in 2009 and have been able to photograph them as they've led worship at Forest Home for numerous camp and conferences. I've always admired Jordan's song writing and how personal his lyrics are. They just signed with Capitol, so hurry up and give them a listen because it's about to be an exciting ride!
Loved traveling up to Forest Home with my friend Joe for the first day of summer staff orientation. Joe was asked to DJ for a dance party to cap off the first day. Naturally, I took photos. Huge props to our buddy Jordan who set up all the lights and the fog machine.
I absolutely love partnering with churches to photograph their ministry. This past month visited First Christian Church Huntington Beach. I saw their services, the facilities and later that day, witnessed over 100 people baptized.
The beach baptism event had over 300 attendees. Seeing that many people worship together at the beach was amazing.
