Tucked along the coast just off Highway 1 south of Carmel, California is the Point Lobos State Reserve. We parked on the outside of the park along the road and hiked in. The trails are short and the payoff is huge.
Every cove in the park is a beautiful vignette.
We started on the north east part of the researve and walked along the north shore. The coves just got better and betteras we continued our journey.
Something that I really enjoyed about Point Lobos was how intimate and small it was. Anyone hiking the trails could have a close experience with the rocky coast, the sea lions bathing in the sun, and hearing the thunderous crash of waves.
